We are looking for caring, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our growing team as Direct Care Staff. Position Summary As a Direct Care Staff member, you will provide hands-on support to individuals in their homes and throughout the community. You will assist participants with daily living activities, teach independent living skills, encourage community involvement, and help individuals achieve the goals outlined in their individualized support plans. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, patient, reliable, and passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others. Essential Job Duties Complete all required orientation and ongoing training. Implement individualized support plans and intervention strategies. Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, and other daily tasks. Teach and encourage independent living skills. Support participants during community outings, appointments, shopping, recreational activities, and employment opportunities. Collect and record participant progress and required data. Complete all documentation accurately and on time. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants at all times. Maintain professional communication with participants, families, supervisors, and other professionals. Provide transportation using a personal or company-approved vehicle when needed. Prepare materials and equipment necessary for daily activities. Follow all company policies, state regulations, confidentiality requirements, and Medicaid documentation standards. Attend required staff meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or GED (or ability to complete required documentation accurately). Valid Idaho Driver's License with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance. Ability to pass state and federal background checks. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Medication Assistance Certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to lift, transfer, push wheelchairs, and physically assist participants when necessary. Ability to observe participant behavior and accurately document services provided. Preferred One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or other human service populations. Experience in Residential Habilitation, Supported Living, Personal Care Services, or Direct Support Professional (DSP) roles. No experience? No problem!
